This Policy describes how we handle personal data of natural persons in compliance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council, General Data Protection Regulation, “GDPR”).

We will only use the above personal data to contact you back. Under GDPR, this processing is based on our legitimate interest. We do not transfer personal data to anyone else or use it for any other purpose but a direct contact with you. We will store personal data for no more than 5 years with respect to a possible need to search through our communication records.

Registration to CatForge portal

When you use this website, you provide us with the following categories of personal data:

  • Name and surname
  • Company name
  • Address
  • E-mail address

We need all this personal data to provide access to CatForge application. Regarding your registration, we may provide information to you on organisational changes and our service offers. This practice can be deemed to qualify as legitimate interest of the controller to provide direct marketing under Art. 6 (1)(f) of the GDPR. Without your consent, this personal data will not be used for any other purposes or transferred to other controllers or used for automated decision-making within the meaning of Article 22 of the GDPR.

Personal information retention period

We will store the personal data collected through the online store for the period of the contract and 5 years thereafter. The storage period after the end of the contractual relationship has been defined upon considering the likelihood of future collaboration and the technical capabilities of the system. We are required by law to store personal data for longer periods, namely tax documents.

Data processors

As our capacity cannot cover all the services we provide, we use other providers that act as processors of your personal data.

We only rely on assistance from those service providers who supplied sufficient guarantees that they process personal data in compliance with identical policies followed by us in the European Union.  Upon request (via the contact form or e-mail info@catforge.eu), we will provide you with detailed information on the processors.

Assistance in handling personal data and rights of data subjects

If you believe that our processing of your personal data violates the protection of your privacy and personal life or is unlawful, namely if the personal data is inaccurate with regard to the purpose of their processing, you may:

Request an explanation via an e-mail sent to the following address info@catforge.eu; Object to the processing for legitimate interest via an e-mail sent to info@catforge.eu.

  • Send us a request to info@catforge.eu that we inform you of the scope or method of processing your personal data, upon which we will provide you with relevant information within a reasonable period (no more than 30 days).
  • Request deletion of all your personal data we process.
  • Request that we provide to you all your personal data we process.
  • You are entitled to contact the Office for Personal Data Protection directly (www.uoou.cz/en) regarding any query about personal data protection.

Miscellaneous provisions on personal data protection

We do not process personal data of children or special categories of personal data, i.e. sensitive personal data within the meaning of Art. 9 of the GDPR.

We will always strive to prevent unauthorized processing of personal data but we will not be liable to the user or to any other data subjects for any harm caused by unauthorized processing of personal data by third parties.

While processing personal data, we maintain its confidentiality and integrity. Our systems are built around the latest security algorithms and are backed up regularly. If, despite that, we discover any security risk related to personal data, we will notify you by e-mail as soon as practicable.

Should any harm arise in relation to personal data breach or other matters, we will provide the user with legal and other assistance in seeking compensation from responsible processors. However, the company itself is not liable for any error or misconduct on the part of its authorized processors.

Personal data will be processed in an electronic form and by non-automated means. However, anonymised personal data may be processed by automated means as well. No individual automated decision-making as set out in Art. 22 of GDPR will apply to any data subjects.

Final provisions

Any private-law relationships arising from or in relation to personal data processing are governed by the law of the Czech Republic, regardless of the location from where the data is accessed. The jurisdiction for any disputes between the user and the company arising from privacy protection shall be with Czech courts which shall apply the law of the Czech Republic.

This Privacy Policy comes into effect on 1 February 2020.
